Paul Mattson, PT, ATC, CSCS - Director/Owner

Paul Mattson received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas and his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 1986. He is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and Strength/Conditioning Specialist. Paul has over 24 years experience and is celebrating over 19 years ownership of Venture Physical Therapy, Marietta. His prior experience of working with the Atlanta Hawks and other professional athletes (Atlanta Braves, Olympians, etc.), has helped his patients receive the same professional care. Paul and his wife Alyssa have four children and work closely with the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theater/Georgia Dance Conservatory where their oldest daughter has been a dance student for 13 years. They have also worked with other local dancers and with their older son's travel baseball team.


Alyssa Mattson, PT

Alyssa Mattson, PT

Alyssa Mattson received her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 1988. She has been working with orthopedic and sports patients for over 23 years. Alyssa has her Black Belt in Karate and plays tennis, in between volunteering at schools, driving to dance, baseball, music and seeing patients at the clinic.


Wendy Lenhard, MPT

Wendy Lenhard received her Master's of Physical Therapy from Emory University in 1994. She has varied experience in inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient sports medicine. Wendy has a special interest in women's health, especially in orthopedic issues following mastectomy and childbirth. Her patient's enjoy her upbeat personality and personalized approach to their care. Wendy lives in Marietta with her husband and three children. When she is not in the clinic, you can find her jogging around East Cobb, cycling, and pumping iron at the local gym.


Nancy Harvey, Office Manager/Billing Coordinator

Nancy Harvey, Office Manager/Billing Coordinator

Nancy received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Northern Michigan University. She has over 20 years of nursing and consulting/management experience prior to joining Venture in 2005. Nancy will helps schedule appointments, verifies insurance prior to evaluation visit and helps set up payment options. Her outgoing and friendly personality makes each patient feel welcome every time they walk into the clinic. Nancy and her husband, Phil, have three children. When not at the clinic, Nancy can be found at the barn with Sarah, the karate dojo with Michael, or working on the computer with Corey.


Angela Purvis, PT Technician

Angela Purvis, PT Technician

Angela received a Bachelor's Degree from Kennesaw State University in Criminal Justice in 2009. She has been with Venture for over four years providing support to the therapists and patients. Angela and her husband, Adam, live in Marietta.


Tim Lupien, MOT, OTR, Certified Hand Therapist

Tim graduated in 1979 from the University of Illinois with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education with emphasis in athletic training and exercise therapy. After teaching and working with therapists in a special education school for two years, Time received his Master's in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University in 1983. Since then, he has opened a total of eight outpatient hand therapy centers for Venture. He has attended many hours of advanced training for hand rehabilitation. Along with this, he has been involved with the American and Georgia Occupational Therapy Associations. Tim is also a member for the American Society of Hand Therapists and has developed the Atlanta Centers for Tennis Elbow and Carpal Tunnel.
