Paul Mattson, PT, ATC, CSCS – Director/Owner
Paul received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas and his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 1986. He is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and Strength/Conditioning Specialist. Paul has over 28 years experience and is celebrating over 22 years ownership of Venture Physical Therapy, Marietta. His prior experience of working with the Atlanta Hawks and other professional athletes (Atlanta Braves, Olympians, etc.), has helped his patients receive the same professional care. Paul and his wife Alyssa have four children and work closely with multiple dance studios and various athletic coaches in providing rehabilitation to high school athletes. Some of Paul’s specialties include joint replacement rehabilitation, post surgical rehabilitation, and foot and ankle care.
Alyssa Mattson, PT
Alyssa received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 1988. She has been working with orthopedic and sports patients for over 26 years. Alyssa has her Black Belt in Karate and plays tennis in between volunteering at schools and seeing patients at the clinic. Alyssa and Paul have attended an advanced 8 day dance injury course in New York City. Alyssa enjoys her experience providing care to dancers at the Atlanta Ballet and other dance studios. She treats all levels of dancers and athletes.
Wendy Lenhard, MPT
Wendy Lenhard received her Master’s of Physical Therapy from Emory University in 1994. She has varied experience in inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient sports medicine. Wendy has a special interest in women’s health, especially in orthopedic issues following mastectomy and childbirth. Her patient’s enjoy her upbeat personality and personalized approach to their care. Wendy lives in Marietta with her husband and three children. When she is not in the clinic, you can find her jogging around East Cobb, cycling, and pumping iron at the local gym.
Nancy Harvey, BSN – Business Manager
Nancy received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Northern Michigan University. She has over 20 years of nursing and consulting/management experience prior to joining Venture in 2005. Nancy is a Business Manager with a patient oriented and family focus. She works closely with Paul and Alyssa to insure all aspects of the business run smoothly. Nancy and her husband Phil have 3 children and one old schnauzer.
Tim Lupien, MOT, OTR – Certified Hand Therapist
Tim graduated in 1979 from the University of Illinois with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education with emphasis in athletic training and exercise therapy. After teaching and working with therapists in a special education school for two years, Time received his Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University in 1983. Since then, he has opened a total of eight outpatient hand therapy centers for Venture. He has attended many hours of advanced training for hand rehabilitation. Along with this, he has been involved with the American and Georgia Occupational Therapy Associations. Tim is also a member for the American Society of Hand Therapists and has developed the Atlanta Centers for Tennis Elbow and Carpal Tunnel.
Kristen Lane – Patient Advocate
Kristen received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Georgia. She taught Special Education for 10 years before deciding to stay home and raise her 2 children. Kristen began working at Venture in 2013 assisting as a patient advocate. She schedules patients, finds answers to any questions you may have, and will always greet you with a smile. Kristen is outgoing, courteous, and willing to help wherever she is needed.
